聖經希伯來文的形容詞由於與名詞的詞性詞數是一樣，所以形容詞與名詞加上後綴後，母音的變化是完全一樣的，例如形容詞「好」：
不過要注意是詞性的配合是要按名詞的本身詞性，並不是看名詞的詞性後綴，原因是有些陰性名詞是沒有陰性後綴，有些有陰性後綴卻又是陽性名詞，即是說，若有形容詞出現的情況下就必定能確定名詞的詞性。
