24 為你本國之民和你聖城，已經定了七十個七。要止住罪過，除淨罪惡，贖盡罪孽，引進永義，封住異象和預言，並膏至聖者。
25 你當知道，當明白，從出令重新建造耶路撒冷，直到有受膏君的時候，必有七個七和六十二個七。正在艱難的時候，耶路撒冷城連街帶濠都必重新建造。
七十個七
天使加百列對但以理指出定了的時間總數是「七十個七」，其中包括了三個時間，分別是「七個七」、「六十二個七」和「一個七」。最後「一個七」則分為兩個「一七之半」。
「七十個七」：這是指七十個星期（שָׁבֻעִים שִׁבְעִים），利二十五1-55的禧年，先計算七個安息年，即是「七個七」，即49年，第50年就是禧年。「七十個七」可解理為490年。猶太學者解釋「七十個七」，是耶利米所指的「七十年」為七十個安息年。[1]
