信息傳遞的連貫性
近代研究經文傳遞的鑑別學[1]，最核心的問題是忽略經文在最終文本中的連貫性，以及語義之間的緊密聯繫。甚麼是連貫性？那是指一些連續或重複的元素，不管是口述或筆錄，在同一段經文出現，目的是連接語篇的意義關係。語篇是用文字記錄下來的一段語言，目的是分析或描寫。“連貫性”則屬語篇中較深層的連結關係，不單包括表達手法上的人為構造，也涉及認知過程（cognitive process）[2]所產生可以令人理解的語篇。“銜接”則屬較表層的結構關係，可以透過語法和詞彙等來顯示表層結構的連貫。[3] 簡單來說，連貫性是指語篇與語境的關係；銜接則指語篇內部結構的連接關係。連貫性是從較整體的角度來看，連貫性的語篇多具有銜接的元素，相反，有銜接元素的，未必等如連貫性。[4]
